Not as good as the original trilogy
Predictable twists but well written. Steven Pacey remains the best narrator hands down. Sets up nicely for the third and final trilogy.

Nice ending for the trilogy
Thrilling and fitting finale of the second trilogy. Reminds one very much of the ending of the the blade trilogy. The delivery is slightly lamer than, but still around the best stories you can spend your money on!

abercrombies best work yet
Abercrombie always had great character concepts. Now they show remarkable development throughout the story.

Legendary work of Art
Words can not describe what legendary work of art these masterpieces of Joe Abercrombie and Steven Pacey are. Be prepared for Character deaths no one is saved in the Age of Madness. It would be greedy to ask for more from Joe, but since not all loose ends are tied up I have to ask for another trilogy pretty please.

Bester Autor
Endet alles vllt nicht so wie erhofft aber gerade deswegen so gut! Nicht typisch Hollywood-Kagge, die immer gleich endet.

Sublime Writing
Fantastic plot, characters, language and literary quality!
Abercrombie brings his own style which is evil witty and darkly funny. Thoroughly enjoyable read and very satisfying ending to the trilogy.
Looking forward to the next works of Abercrombie a great deal!

Women are awesome, men are bad or idiots or both
Like the whole series, it's a good story and good pacing and good(some might think a bit too many) twists. The trilogy as a whole concludes neatly at the end and leaves lots of room for interesting and exciting continuation at the same time.
Steven Pacey is awesome as always.
Unfortunately, it keeps up the feminist undertone of the two previous books. With very few exceptions, men are all weak, stupid, useless idiots or brutish thugs, who, in any case, have to be lead by women or everything goes to shits.
Again, very disappointing that Joe Abercrombie had to go down that way, why?

Fantastic
Absolutely loved this trilogy, can’t recommend it enough.
The story twists and turns in ways no one would expect, only wish the book was longer.

Too much French Revolution
There was too much French Revolution in that book. Couldn’t stand reading about these horrors all again, simply with the names exchanged. This part took far too much room.

Not a fairytale ending but what did you expect?
The writing was absolutely impeccable. With nerve wracking plot twists. The voicing as usual was 100%
