The ending 8s kinda weak but the rest is good

As I stated in the heading the story is really nice I would have preffed if the runt thing isn't that huge of a deal as it kinda stings that the main character isn't as strong as afull dragon but besides its kinda nice. Only the ending is kinda weak as it is anticlimactic

the ending weakens the story quite a bit

I like the story, the world and the characters, nothing blew me away but it's a solid 1st book, but....

Warning this is spoiler talk.
The way Tyth got beaten down by his lover for lying at the end is really upsetting and the only way I'll be able to enjoy a 2nd book is when someone literally or figuratively slaps some sense into her.
Tyths lover already knew that Tyth was lying and that the revelation could make her look at Tyth in another light, so I find it annoying how she acts so volatile when she finds out. Also he literally saving her life multiple times suddenly was easily forgotten and the he got blamed for her torture wich is insane.
Tyths lover made the decision to bind herself to him against his advice, she made the decision to run away and then let herself get captured again wich caused her torture.
The argument that he killed heroes is also lame, he was fighting for his own life against them.
Yea, I can understand that she might be a little wrong in the head after the torture, but this needs to be set right in the next book and not with a sorry from Tyth but the other way around, he already apologized for lying, he was already on his way to tell her the whole truth before the attack and he is clearly willing to give up his live for her, it's also clear that his fears were warranted, the only person who has been needlessly cruel and didn't apologize for it is Tyths lover.
